X1, X3 & Hotbox
Propex X1 heaters were produced from circa 1980 until about 1989 with many supplied to British Telecom. It produced 1600W output and the X3 gave 2600W. The Hotbox was a branded X1. All heaters supplied to British Telecom (GPO) were supplied with a one hour on and one hour off timer. Many X1 heaters have been now refitted into motorhomes or boats and the timer replaced with a thermostat.
