Description
Exhaust heat sleeving lagging
Glass textile sleeving coated with silicon rubber and manufactured with non-alkali fibreglass fibres. Coated with silicon resin and then vulcanised to form insulated sleeving. This Exhaust heat sleeving lagging has good dielectric qualities and more importantly, great heat resistance and elasticity. Â Being a sleeve, it is far quicker and easier to apply to exhaust pipes than conventional exhaust wrapping.
For Marine applications and especially on inland waterways craft it is a requirement of the Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) that exhaust pipes fitted in an exposed position must be insulated to guard against accidental scalding.
This exhaust heat sleeve has an inner diameter of 26mm so will fit over 22mm inside diameter pipes as used on the Propex Heastsource and Compact heaters, as well as some eberspacher and Truma models. Â Will resist temperatures up to 260*C
Not suitable for HS2800
